Leaves and I have a L0VE-H8 relationship.

When I was little I was pretty into raking leaves. I mean, raking them was actually the shitty part, but jumping in them afterwards was really great. Not that leaves ever really acted as that great of a padding. You pretty much were just hoping for the leaves to fly everywhere. That was the only pay off for jumping up and landing on the ground and getting crunchy shit in every single orifice. Actually the entire idea seems pretty stupid now. All of the “free-spirited” people at college think they are alternative and don’t care about social norms for “growing up” and jump in the piles of leaves that have been painstakingly created by the landscaping staff. Anyways, the point is that eventually I got sick of raking leaves but I still had to do it. But what is cool is that I sort of developed an allergy to dry ass leaves. I started getting hives all over when I was raking the leaves so i didnt have to do it ever again and the bottom line is that if you hate a chore, you can pretty much convince your body to get allergic to it and it will oblige you.

But I DO like the fall colors. To be honest, one of my reasons for choosing Indiana University was the trees. I visited last year just as the trees were starting to turn colors and I was pretty much sold on the place. Well, that is a lie because I pretty much hated the idea of the entire state of Indiana until like 5 months ago, but it was a selling point for sure. This is the part of the post where I’d like to post a picture of the pretty leaves on campus, but its dark outside. so Here is a picture of what you would see if you were my laptop and tilted slightly to your left/my right:

streetlamp that keeps me up. ugh. h8 you.

also: that is not the moon at the top of the window, its an obama poster. obama=so into circles. srsly. so progressive.

here is a picture I did not take of fall leaves at IU:

in other news: OBAMA WON YALL. if you read the first post on this blog over 2 years ago, you would know that i predicted this long long ago. I win.

::edit::
here is a picture from my shitty phone camera. check out the foliage yall.

boyfriendz

I’ve been sending lots of mixed signals to people as far as what kind of boyfriend I want. And by sending mixed signals i mean just making lots of conflicting statements that they dont really care about unless they are Sasha because girls care. And i’ve said that i want an Indie boyfriend, an Indian boyfriend, and Indie Indian who attend Indiana University (LOL AMIRITE?). I’ve said i want my boyfriend to be Jon from Jon and Kate + 8 or Bradford Cox or even Barack Obama. But really I think i’ve boiled all of this information to one thing.

I just want a boyfriend who dresses like he is in the sandlot.

p.s. don’t tell, but i am using this picture not off my own bandwith, but off the hipsterrunoff photobucket! CRIME FTW.

votey vote vote vote

I participated in our country’s political process for the first time yesterday. I woke up and my mom and I walked over to the polling place and voted. It was cool. But I felt unprepared. I wish I had been more prepared for the amount of names on the ballot and knowing who the candidates were. I had a vague idea but I wasn’t positive about much. I hope I didn’t vote for any crooks. Well, okay I know I didnt vote for crooks because when I had absolutely no idea I just voted for what the tribune endorsed….

it was cool.

hunky presidents

once upon a time i ranked my hottest presidents of all time. So why not rank the hotness of presidential hopefuls?

here they are from least hot to hottest.
-         McCain R
(1 point)

-         Giuliani R
(2 points)

-         Thompson R
(3 points)

-         Hillary Clinton D
(4 points)

-       Romney R
(5 points)

-         Huckabee R
(6 points)

-         John Edwards D
(7 points)

-         Barack Obama D
(8 points)

there they are. these are just some of the candidates. the 8 that the washington post lists as the front runners.

here is a statistic. 52% of the hottness points went to democrats even when they only had 3 candidates listed.

Keep your friends close, and peer pressure them into getting tattooed.

I have these two friends. Lets call them Simba and Nala. Not because I like the lion king, I hate that movie. But Simba and Nala both happen to be girls and they are basically best friends. So Simba and Nala decide to get matching tattoos of the chinese characters for ‘close friends’. So Simba goes first and gets her tatoo. AND THEN NALA DOESNT WANT TO DO IT!!!!! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! so now simba has this tattoo about being close friends, and instead of it being a constant reminder of what good friends they are, its a constant reminder of what a douchebag Nala is for backing out. I kind of want to get a tattoo of that story on my hip or something so that i will always remember not to trust even my best friend when it comes to body modification. also, it will remind me of this hilarious story and i will always be laughing like i am right now.

in other news: BARACK IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT! now my sublinimal messaging notebook paper must be taken a step further. shit yes.

also: buy this shirt:

buy this shirt and more from my friend Maya.

Ring Tailed Lemurs and America’s Hottest Presidents

Reuters - Sun Oct 1, 3:28 AM ET
A ring-tailed lemur (R) looks at a fennec fox at Sunshine International Aquarium in Tokyo October 1, 2006. REUTERS/Yuriko Nakao (JAPAN)
When I was little we had these books called “Extraordinary ___” like ears, noses things like that. That kind of fox was on the cover. Because it was so cute it made the ear book my favorite.
Also: ringtailed lemur’s are really great. I dont eve nkow where i first heard about them. But they were definitely in my top 5 animals. When ever we played the game ‘i’m thinking of an animal’ i’d always pick that, a llama or a sloth. Needless to say, i owned at that game.
Speaking of Top 5’s. Here are my top 5 Hottest Presidents. I’m always sparring with my heterosexual history teacher about this though.
Number 5: Jimmy Carter
  • first President born in a hospital
  • Sworn-in as President (at the age of 52 years, 3 months and 20 days) on January 20, 1977. Left office on January 20, 1981, following general election loss to our #4 hottest president.

Number 4: Ronald Reagan

  • Term of Office: January 20, 1981 - January 20, 1989
  • 40th President of the United States

Number 3: Abe Lincoln

173x245h pix Abe Lincoln

  • In Office March 4, 1861- April 15, 1865
  • His Vice President’s name was Hannibal! COOL.

Number 2: Bill Clinton

  • Shortly after taking office, Clinton signed the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, which required large employers to allow their employees to take unpaid leave because of pregnancy or serious medical condition.
  • Did not have sex with that woman.

AND NOW!! NUMBER 1!!!

Number 1 Hottest President: JFK!!!

John F. Kennedy

  • 35th President of the United States. He served from 1961 until his assassination in 1963.
  • Only Catholic President
  • SUPER HOTTIE!!

I feel pretty strongly about this ranking, but there is one thing that could throw it off. If Barack Obama become president, he will undoubtedly knock out JFK for the Top Spot.

Barack Obama
MAN IS HOT!
