T9: ruining lives since 2002

When I name my children, I will be putting great stresses on not having their name share the same t9 format as any embarassing words. so far, this is excluding a lot of names. Here is a list of what some of my friends’ names come up as before pressing the alternative key.

Brian- Asian
Jordan- Korean
Sam- Ran-san-pan
Sasha- Scrib
Anna- Bomb-boob-comb-coma
Adam- Beam

good thing i am not planning on naming my kids those things.
Here is what t9 predicts for me trying to enter my future childrens names.

Harrison- Garrison (close, but no cigar)

Jackson- FIRST TRY BABY. THIS ONE IS A KEEPER.

Fox-  ANOTHER FIRST TRY. I AM THE QUEEN OF MOMS TO BE.

WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN.

in other news: i turned 19 yesterday!

And Madeline said “let there be eyebrows!” And there were.

I havent worked on this project in like a week. I am really nervous about moving onto the skin of the portrait. I think thats the part where people will really start to know if it looks like him or not. But today instead of moving on to the skin, i was happy to realize that it would be a good idea to do the eyebrows first. nahm sayin? wonderful. but i think because i had such a wonderful day that i’ll be able to embark on the skin tonight.

here is the pre skin picture:
i’m sorry that loose thread and protruding needle make him look like he is drooling and receiving acupuncture. i had to take the picture quickly because i don’t have any money for batteries. I just lick the batteries and hope it give them a little extra conductivity.

why my day was awesome:
– school was just pretty good. a generally good time in all of my classes. fun activities, challanging conversations, poop jokes. what wasn’t to love there?

– robert. my redheaded comrade and i had a pre choir concert mini party at his home which basically consisted of a facebook marathon and making elaborate plans for social situations at my birthday party next week.

– choir concert. usually i am not happy about giving up my friday nights, but today i was walking of the buzz of a wonderful day and i was so happy to see all my friends and my oratory skills were praised when i introduced the set and welcomed the audience. so pleasing.

– wonderful tunes. wonderful sounds of atlas sound blog music pulsing from my speakers on the car ride home.

– traffic. on my aforementioned drive home from the concert the express way lived up to its name and a trip that would have taken me an hour+ two months ago when the roadway was still under construction took me about 27 minutes. and i didnt even speed too badly.

– college. i got into another college. and they gave me some money. the two schools i’ve been accepted to so far are Illinois State University and University of Iowa. Not my dream schools, but certainly not bad options. I just wish my top picks for college used rolling admissions so I could find out this early if i’ve been accepted.

wonderful wonderful wonderful.

P.S. i met a boy named Harrison at school today. I was happy to meet him because harrison is one of my favorite names ever.

king friday!

Whenever I listen to David Brubeck, which is more than you probably would guess, I always feel like I’m watching Mr. Rodgers. And now that I think about it, I think I’m going to go visit some youtube and see if I can get my king Friday/prince Tuesday fix. I definitely want to name my kids days of the week. It’s definitely doable. This girl in my math class is named Wednesday.
