jew-know

I saw the movie Juno twice this week. Thursday and today. It was pretty great both times. I was already a big fan of kimya dawson so the music was good. Michael Cera is a beautiful human being so that was nice too. Ellen Page is really adorable and a great actress. I cried the second time i saw it. It made me want to be a teen mother. I arranged for my friend to impregnate me. Just kidding. Don’t ground me or anything Mom and Dad. But it did feel like it was a film inspired by parts of my life. Inspired very very very loosely. Like here is an example of how the inspiration would go. A cat looked at a dog –> A CAT MAULED A DOGS FACE OFF AND THE DOG STILL WAS ALIVE AND BIT A PERSON WHO WAS NICE BECAUSE HE HAD NO EYES TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN THE CAT AND THE PERSON.

(by the way, animals can’t love. they arent self aware.)

but the music was good. the mix of lowbrow humor with highbrow humor and emotional circumstances was flawless. It might have sucked to see it with me the second time though because i reacted to everything in the movie about 3 seconds before it happened. sorry danny/kyle

14 hours on a bus doesn’t have much to show

i’ve made some progress in the bradford homage art project. certainly not 14 hours worth. Its really distracting to be on a bus with 40 friends surrounded by classy junkfood (TERRA CHIPS!), movies (west side story, ratatouille, stick it, meet the robinsons…), ipods and entertaining characters in general (LEO).

but i did a bit of art-ing.
first picture is pre trip, second picture is post trip.

28 weeks later

So one of my favorite movies ever is 28 days later. blah blah blah Cillian Murphy blah blah zombies blah blah other reasons why I like 28 days later. THERE IS A SEQUEL! May 11th, 28 WEEKs later comes out.

I’m excited but also skeptical.

Things I’ve gathered from the trailer I watched:

  • no Cillian Murphy– let down
  • Muse is on the soundtrack– cool
  • gore– I guess I’m indifferent. I don’t know.
  • zombies! AWESOME
  • child actors– now that I’m over being actually angry at my parents for not exploiting me, I give child actors a thumbs down. sorry.

Whatever. I’ll still go see this movie with my fellow 28 days later enthusiasts and then I’ll probably see it again with my dad for kicks. Unless it really sucks, in which case I will rent it if I ever want to see it again so I don’t have to waste $9.25.
