i have noticed that sometimes when d00ds use the bathroom on my all-girls floor, they leave that seat up. that is NOT okay. i decided to take some action. i wanted a stern message with an angry black man pictured. so i googled “angry black man” and appropriately enough, the Unforgivable guy was a top hit. so i went with that theme. and here is the result.

i am going to see graham parker tonight with my family. My mom got my dad front row tickets for his birthday in august. i am mad that i forgot about it til today because it would have been totally hilarious to make a shirt for my dad that says “I AM THE GIRL WITH THE BUTTERFLY NET.”

that is a song by graham parker. and my dad is like 6′5. it would have been gold. Schwaatever.

embroidery project is coming along well more pictures later. i have to do some serious work to make sure the head doesnt come out lopsided though. the way the fabric pulled it looks to be coming out that way. i’ll fix it.

my friend sarah brought it to my attention that i didnt tell the rest of my idea for the portrait. I’m going to put some hummingbirds around the face maybe because someone made a comment once that his hand were intricate like hummingbird bones. i thought that was a nice description.

and then once brad was asked about his actual feelings toward deer (his band is deerhunter) and he said something about how he thought they were like mystical and magical but he didnt like that you couldn’t touch them. he doesnt like pretty things you cant touch. so theoretically that will be the title of the piece.
