cold pizza

pizza and i have an awkward relationship. I didn’t like pizza until like 7th grade which really put me in an odd situation at most birthday parties, class parties, group project gatherings and really it ruined my life every day. But eventually i got into it. But only if it was plain cheese pizza. and if it had too much sauce, i’d peel off the cheese, wipe off some sauce and stick the cheese back on. And as a chicagoan, i committed blasphemy everytime the cheesey, saucey carb entered my mouth–i ate thin crust exclusively. Around junior year i decided to give spinach deep dish a try and OMG I FELL IN LUFF. srsly. luff it. but i still pretty much stuck with my classic cheese thin crust. ENTER COLLEGE. I don’t know how it happened, but someone persuaded me that i had to eat the sausage and mushroom at motherbears, the most happening pizza place in all of Bloomington. Whatever, i’m new, trying to make friends, i obliged. AND OMG I WAS ALSO IN LOVE WITH IT.  so my favorite thing in the world now is Mother Bears with sausage and mushroom. I don’t know if chicago people know about this, but outside of chicago, sausage is different. its not like the chunky shit we’re used to–its like ground beef. and its GLORIOUS. omg i love it.

but anyways. the other night, as you may have read in this post, adam and i ordered a pizza, not motherbears(4th in the nation yall)  because they were closed. but yeah. that pizza with love. but we ordered it and ate most of it. but there were two slices left. and the next day, i was hungry. so i did somethind i’d never done before—I ATE COLD PIZZA WTF?

here is the documentation of me eating cold pizza for the first time.

Special Instructions

Last night Adam and I ordered a pizza online. We picked our toppings–mushroom and chicken, our side–breadsticks (cheese sticks cost more and are gross.) and then the online order form had a blank box for “special instructions”.

Our special instructions were something along the lines of the following:

“please make our pizza with love. and by love i mean as much love as is humanly possible. Also please include a pinch of good luck and stardust. Does this order include a unicorn?”

When we recieved our pizza, the box looked like this:

so yah. successful.

this picture is to let you know i haven’t fallen off the face of the earth*.

*like that could happen. gravity FTW.

quick statements:

i found this picture while searching for random letter combinations. this came from searching ‘blong’

cough syrup is great for coughs/sleep(but probably not as it is 3:14AM EST and i am still awake. ugh.)

i have been using my ipod more lately.

ate too many cookies today

mad urges to embroider lately. i really wish i hadnt left my supplies at home.

birthday is on Monday. 19 yall.

i am dehydrated.

i am dirty. n33d 2 shower.

laundry is expensive.

I am reading the diary of anne frank for the first time since 3rd grade. I brought it along on our trip to Italy. I remember being sprawled out on the textured bedspread in the room we rented in Florence, red fuzzballs occasionally floating up and landing on the pages.

coincidentally the next book on my nightstand/fridge is the Night trilogy by Eli Wiesel. Following that some book Sasha’s mother told her she had to read before she was intellectually permitted to read Nietzsche. Perhaps a less depressing book is in order.
maybe?

i am taking typography next semester. should i spring for the 75 bucks and get this ampersand shaped cutting board for my teacher for an guaranteed a?

in other news:
i used a new tag today. “Books” strange it hadn’t come up before considering i enjoy reading and up until a few weeks ago my mothers job was to edit book reviews, write book reviews and read books(what i’m getting at is that i had a lot of free books).

The Princess Is HEAHHHH

This morning i was eating this cereal that is really good. it is called “Oh’s”. It’s kind of funny because the cereal pieces are shaped like O’s but the cereal is so good it makes you say “OH!” so you know. Oh’s. how punny.  But basically i was thinking about something. here is the intro to my thinking:

A good number of you know how i feel about the song ‘one, two step’. if you don’t here is an excerpt from my spiel on the song “it REALLY is the best song of this century. I mean “Oh” is “oh”kay but one, two step? THE BOMB.COM”

BASICALLY i am just wondering if anyone else thinks that Oh’s are probably Ciara’s favorite cereal…?

Oh’s and Ciara should really get together. write a moan-y jingle.

more watercolors/music plug

here is another painting deal.

my graduation party was on saturday and it was a complete success. My closest friends all came and mingled with my family and life coaches. And by life coaches I mean i have weird old friends. Like 40 year olds. Its complicated. Don’t worry about it.

but the party was great. Aside from one disastrous number, Vague Babies performed pretty well. I made a dress the night before that turned out to be pretty adorable and worked out well for me. Pictures to come.

Today i’m going to get some ballin bubble tea from BeBoBa and then return some sound equipment and go see my lawrence, kansas buddies– Baby Birds Don’t Drink Milk.

cupcakes are overrated

i like cake just as much as the next person, but its got to be done right. just a smidge of frosting because otherwise it tastes like you have a mouth full of lard and no one wants that. okay, lots of people want that hence the success of grocery store cakes and buttercream cupcakes smothered in frosting. i wish someone would make some cupcakes that werent a hot mess of sugar and cream and use the frosting in ratio more similar to that of a cinnamon bun. WHO NEEDS ALL OF THIS?

when i was a kid everyone would bring in cupcakes drowning in frosting for their birthdays. i would always scrape most of it off onto a plate or a napkin only to be hounded by some sugar-addicted 8 year old asking if i was going to eat that frosting or if they could have it. I recall even sometimes trading someone my frosting for their cake.

i would rather just eat a third of a graham cracker pie crust like i did today. if i ever get famous to the point where i say i like something and i suddenly get lots of mail with that in it, i want that thing to be graham cracker pie crusts. those and cotton candy.

here is a picture of me right now***.

***actually, this picture is a few months old and i dont have actual though bubbles floating around me now nor did i then.

being sick is the buggers

i’m not sure if thats a real life expression/idiom that i just used, but it totally works for me right now and i am sick and i dont care. i am sick. i usually run a nice low 96degree temp but at the doctors yesterday i was pushing 101. so i went home and slept from 3-9 and then woke up for like an hour and talked to my mom and then continued to sleep from 10-7. 15 hourrrzzz. what is that?! and i was still tired when i woke up. but antsy. so i went downstairs only to find out there was an ANTM MARATHON! of a season i hadnt seen most of. it was awesome. so i watched from like 8 to 4 before finally bugging out and watching some discovery health special on ‘I AM MY OWN TWIN’ which to be honest was some messed up shiz. some shiz about fused embryos. ooo man i want to go buy some FUZE draank now. i swear i am pregnant or something 24/7. i’m always craving weird ass foods.

oh mah gahd you dont even know how good this stuff is. when i went to pitchfork this summer, fuze was a sponsor and they were giving away free samples all dayyy. so good. and at the end of the day i also realized i hadnt eaten anything, which, obviously, is not me. i think this stuff has an appetite supressant. i might be making that up. here goes a fact checking expedition:

okay so it looks like they have a few different kind of drinks, one of them called slenderize, which must have been the pitchfork plug because i didnt eat ANYTHANNg. they say nothing about appetite suppressant, but i will check the label if i can goad mom into driving me to CVS or something to pick it up because, considering i almost fainted on our expedition to CVS this morning when i was going to die if i didnt get some new facewash, she is not letting me drive.

anyways. that was a nice graceful return to me being sick. i am about to google for celebrities when they are sick. okay so all ’sick celebrities’ yielded were ‘healthy’ pictures of Michael Jacksone, Celine Dion and some Amy Winehouse-Drew Barrymore love child. whatever. i am not searching further. i’m sick and i need a nap.
